Rosa Gallo had always loved coffee yet never found a brew that truly spoke to her.
But in Sicily, everything changed. Greeted with a joyful “Ciao Bellezza!”, she felt the warmth, intimacy, and welcome that coffee had been missing back home.
That moment became the beginning of Café Bellezza: coffee that feels as beautiful, intentional, and soulful as the women who drink it.

Rewriting the Coffee Story
For decades, coffee culture has celebrated hustle and strength but rarely sensitivity, nuance, or femininity. Rosa, alongside co-founders Danielle McMaster and Claire O’Donnell, discovered what many women had always known: women taste coffee differently.
Women are “supertasters” with heightened sensory perception, bitterness can feel harsher, acidity sharper, and blends less balanced. So instead of asking women to adapt to the coffee, they decided: Let the coffee adapt to her.

The founders began an exploration of taste unlike any other. Through women-led tastings and sensory studies, they created blends designed for the female palate; naturally sweeter beans, smooth where it needs softness, bold where it brings comfort, balanced where it feels just right.
From bean sourcing to roasting to packaging, every decision was shaped by women. A world-first: coffee curated for women, by women.

“We wanted to honour women’s heightened senses — and their uniqueness,” says Danielle. “Coffee should be an experience of confidence and beauty, not just a caffeine hit.”
And while Café Bellezza was created with women in mind, its warmth is universal. “Men love it too,” Claire states, “It’s about balance, flavour, and feeling — things everyone can appreciate.”
